GISCO is coming to the San Juan National Forest this summer! Join us for an off the grid training and meetup July 26-28, 2023, camping available at the Chris Park Group Campsite, located on Hwy 550 north of Durango, CO.

GIS Colorado meetups are open to the public and are a great opportunity to hear interesting geospatial topics from a wide range of GIS professionals across the state.
Interested in giving a presentation? Submit an abstract to be included on the Meetup agenda. Please note, the summer meet up tends to be off the grid. Please plan your talks to be hands on or easy to share in a non-electronic way. There will also be no virtual presentations or attendance at the summer meetup.
About the campsite:
Check-in is 2pm and check-out is 12pm.
Chris Park Group Campground has 3 group campsites and is located one mile south of Haviland Lake. Group sites are mostly flat and have a little shade from a few large Ponderosa pines.
GISCO will have one group site that can accommodate 75 campers. Maximum RV size is 50 feet. Generators are okay to use from about 7am to 10pm.
The campground has a water, vault toilets, a group pavilion, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, electricity and RV access. Each site has electrical hookups, tables and fire rings. Trash collection is also provided. Cell service is fair.
